The Journal of Elder Abuse & Neglect

Editor: Karen Stein, Ph.D

Associate Editor: Sharon Merriman-Nai, M.C.

The Journal of Elder Abuse & Neglect (JEAN), the official journal of the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, is devoted to the study of the causes, effects, treatment, and prevention of the mistreatment of older people. Intended for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in the fields of aging, health, mental health, social services, adult protective services, domestic violence, law, and criminal justice, JEAN is published five time annually and features peer-reviewed articles highlighting the latest scientific investigations addressing elder abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect, in addition to commentaries and short reports.

JEAN frequently features special themes, such as the 2015 double issue: Neglect, Abuse, and Violence Against Older Women, and the upcoming 2017 publication on Polyvictimization which will highlight research conducted by NCPEA as part of the national Office of Victims of Crime (OVC) initiative.

Did you know…annual subscription to JEAN is a NCPEA member benefit!
